Malayan Cement reports 98% rise in revenue

Malayan Cement Berhad , part of YTL Cement Berhad , has reported revenue of MYR2.71bn (US$605.6m) in FY2022, up 98 per cent on the previous year. Net income has come in at MYR83.5m, compared to MYR76.2m in FY2021. Profit margin over the same period has advanced from 0.5 per cent to 3.1 per cent, driven by the higher revenue. Malaysia-based cement producer Malayan Cement Berhad reported a surge in revenues to MYR821.045m in the 2QFY21-22 (ending 31 December 2021, up from MYR350.47m in the 2QFY20-21. The company also turned a pretax loss of MYR-6.398m in the 2QFY20-21 to a pretax profit of MYR79.344m in the 2QFY21-22. YTL Corp records 11% revenue increase

Malaysia’s YTL Corp has reported a 65.6 per cent decline in net profit to MYR29.52m (US$6.9m) in the third quarter ending 31 March, compared to MYR85.79m in the year-ago period. However, the group’s revenue advanced 11.6 per cent YoY to MYR4.81bn from MYR4.31bn. APMC's Rawang plant to close for upgrade programme

Associated Pan Malaysia Cement (APMC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Malayan Cement, reportedly released the majority of its employees a few weeks ago, according to The Edge.
